‘Murph’ is a CrossFit WOD (workout of the day).
It’s typically done every Memorial Day in memory of Navy Lt. Michael Murphy who died in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. It was apparently Murphy’s favourite workout, (originally called “Body Armour”).
“The ’MURPH’ is more than just a workout, it is a tradition that helps push us, humble us, and dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honour a man who gave everything he had”
To complete it, you have to do:
– A 1 Mile Run
– 100 Pull Ups, 200 Push Ups, 300 Squats (in any order)
– Another 1 Mile Run
– For Time
– 20lb. vest (optional)
