So if you have tried the ketogenic diet, and if you are thinking about trying the ketogenic diet, or maybe you’re on the ketogenic diet right now, I want to talk to you. Now are you like me over the age of 40? I’m 46 years old. My wife’s 42. We got three amazing kids.

In the end, I can tell you my wife has an autoimmune disease. Her nutrition means 100% of everything. A doctor recommended her to go on the ketogenic diet, and it became a frickin’ nightmare. I tried the ketogenic diet and guess what? F-A-I-L-E-D!! Failed– I failed at it.

You want to know why? For me, it was because I could not go without carbohydrates. Neither can you– I guarantee you– and just stick with me. I will tell you why. My wife– autoimmune disease– eating lard, fat all the time, eating nothing but protein, and cutting out certain fruits and certain things that her body needs was really bad. The ketogenic diet sent her hormones into a spiral.

Now, for me, there’s no way I can go without carbohydrates because my brain does not function properly. I’m not nice. I get moody. I get snappy.

Next thing you know, I got a problem with my wife. I’m in an argument. I cannot have that. All right?

And even I’m short with my kids. That’s not what I want. I’m sure it’s not what you want either.

So the ketogenic diet– sure, it works for a very small percentage of people. But for the most of us that have tried or were thinking about going ketogenic, you’re more than welcome to try the diet– absolutely, try it. It’s a fad diet.

And by the way, you will not be able go on it for more than 90 days. That’s just the way it is. You cannot go on it for more than 90 days. It’s not healthy at all– period– for people to go over 90 days.
