Do nutrition labels promote weight gain or provide helpful information? Well, if you want to be lulled into a false sense that what you are eating is healthy, you might believe that the information is helpful. But in fact, food labels are still skewed towards glorifying low fat as a healthy way to maintain your weight.

If you want to be healthy, focus all of your attention on purchasing whole foods. If you have to buy processed foods, pay attention to the total carb count of the food. That number, seems to usually be accurate. Health and happiness take work. Make working on it part of your daily routine.
